The carving in the cave at St Margarets bay reputedly of the head of Bran the Celtic god.
He is said to always sleep with one eye open keeping a watch for enemies.
This carving in so had a rock must have taken many hours of work..
Is it one dating back to years ago
There were attempts to carve replicas in the "sliken-slide" rock of a pathway above the cave which were thought to be an attempt to copy this. The author of them quickly gave up their self-set task.
