The sulphur build up in the spout
The trickle of healing water from the Holy Spring

Add captiOne of the flooded fields at Godney Mooron
A fine sunny start to the day so I took off down to the Burtle and Westhay moor area. Dawdled along at 25-30 mph once I got out onto the secluded lanes.
Unusual to see how the road surface in some places stood 2 or 3 feet above the level of the fields. Many of the roads were made by laying down bundles of faggots and then surfacing over the top of them.
Good to see that the rains of the previous month had boosted the flow at the Holy Spring at Edington. Quite a good trickle of water again. Not quite so sulphurous but the deposit still builds up in the spout. Odd how the folks are still getting fooled by the Challis Well at Glastonbury. Collinson exposed that as a fake over 200 years ago.
Took the opportunity to go along to Meare and get pix of the Abbots Fish House. Then across Godney moor where some of the fields were still flooded from the rains of the previous week. The signs were still in place at the road verges advising drivers of the floods.

Why do those stupid folk pester on Facebook and Twitter. I keep getting reminders that I haven't logged on to Facebook but as long as they allow those idiots to post such rubbish and comments I won't bother to do so.

I saw in Flickr that there were posts about the legality of Cards mentioning websites etc. being used as authentication of a person taking pix.

I must check on Morguefile to see if mine is OK to use.

I mentioned Morguefile on it as a Photographic site to maybe boost people looking for pix to use for free.

Onion recipe.

If you enjoy onions here is an old style recipe for you.

Onions Summorsaette.

Peel 2 medium size onions and parboil them for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Line a pie plate or shallow dish with grated Extra-mature Cheddar cheese.

Dust lightly with herbs de Provence.

When the onions are done drain them and then cut them into quarters. Add a knub of butter and mix gently over the heat.

Spread the onions on the cheese in the dish and add another layer of grated cheese on top.

Cook in a hot oven until the cheese is browning nicely.

Serve on wholemeal toast

And now another the 6th.

Had a very nice Email from Rain Macallistair to tell me she had used my Infrared pic for her book cover.
She told me "I searched for a black and white photograph of a bridge while I was still in the early stages of writing the book and your photograph was completely in tune with what I had visualised"
That makes it six covers now.

So the poster cried

The time to cry was before he got tanked up and started to put scurrilous comments of the web.
A lot of students are always complaining about money but they seem to have enough to get beers inside them.

Had an Email last month to tell me that Gall-Ox bridge at Dunster was used from Morguefile to be a book cover. That makes 5 Book Covers I think. I lost count on one that I had no pic of.
